Brandin Tavan Cook (born September 25, 1993) is an American football wide receiver for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oregon State, where he received All-American honors, and was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. After three seasons with New Orleans, Cook played one season for the New England Patriots and two for the Los Angeles Rams before joining the Texans in 2020.

Did get traded
The NFL trade deadline came and went on Tuesday and Brandin Cook remained on the Houston Texans.
The wide receiver was reportedly taking interest from the Green Bay Packers and other teams, but no one was able to finalize a trade.
There were reports that Cook’s salary – $18 million, fully guaranteed next season – was a major obstacle to a deal.
He shared a cryptic message on Twitter at around 4 pm. ET deadline.
“Don’t take a person’s kindness lightly,” he wrote. “Gone are the days when you were covered for lies. Playing with your career, crossed the limit.”
The former first-round draft pick signed the post with a bow and arrow emoji, a reference to his nickname “The Archer.”
Cook was not in practice on Tuesday and head coach Lavi Smith told the media he was “pardoned for personal reasons.”
Smith answered a number of questions about business rumors and made his point that he would not answer private conversations or about fictitious.
“When I say that a person forgives for a personal reason, and I never talk about anything personal, we are talking behind closed doors like all players,” he said. They said. “Interact with most people every day, Brandin is no different.”

NFL wide receiver Brandin Cook is fast enough that he might be able to give Usain Bolt a run for his money. The Los Angeles Rams wideout hit a blazing-fast 4.33-second 40-yard dash in the NFL Scouting Combine (the second-fastest time among all athletes, according to nfl.com). And in 2016, playing with the New Orleans Saints, he set a league record by becoming the first player in NFL history to score a touchdown of 85 yards or more in each of his team’s first five games of the season.
“I do some sort of speed training during every workout, even if it’s something short,” Cook told Men’s Journal. “To keep my legs strong, I use leg presses and sled workouts, and in the summer before camp, I’ll do a lot of beach workouts and agility exercises on the sand. When I train, I’m on the field Doesn’t look like the biggest man, but I know how to work to make sure my body is as strong as it needs to be.”
