Plager, 78, was killed in a two-vehicle wreck about 1:30 p.m. on the highway 13 days after his 78th birthday.

ST. LOUIS (AP) – Former St. Louis Blues defenseman Bob Pleasure died in a car accident Wednesday in St. Louis. He was 78.

Police said the Plegger was alone in his vehicle when it collided with a vehicle carrying two women on Interstate 64 in St. Louis and at about 1:30 p.m. One of the women suffered minor injuries. No other details were released.

When the NHL expanded in 1967–68, the Playgar was an original blue, surpassing the New York Rangers. He played 11 seasons for St. Louis – teaming up for stretches with brothers Barclay and Bill – and later worked for the organization in various roles. He coached the team for 11 games in 1992.
