Robert John East (December 17, 1984 – July 13, 2022) was an American professional stock car racing driver.  He raced for USAC, ARCA and NASCAR. During his career in the latter two, East was a member of Ford’s driver development program.

Star NASCAR driver Bobby East was stabbed to death by a homeless man at a California gas station this week.

As The Sun reports, the 37-year-old, three-time US Auto Club champion was stabbed in the chest while refueling at a station in Westminster, Calif., on Wednesday. Emergency responders tried to keep him alive, but East died at a local trauma center.

Police identified 27-year-old Trent William Milsap as a suspect in the death of a stock car racing driver.

Sources told TMZ that Milsap was shot and killed Friday in a SWAT raid on an apartment in the Anaheim area.

A star NASCAR driver has been stabbed to death and the man who killed him has been shot in a confrontation with police.

Police say Bobby East, 37, was stabbed to death at a gas station in Southern California on Wednesday.

California police responded to a gas station at around 5:50 p.m. In terms of stabbing. Police said when they arrived they found the victim with a knife to her chest.

During the investigation, the victim was identified as Robert John East. Officials said he was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Police identified 27-year-old Trent William Milsap as the suspect. They tracked him down Friday to an apartment in Anaheim, California, where he was killed in a standoff with police.

The Westminster Police Department said, “During the service of the warrant, the West County SWAT team encountered Milsap. He clashed with officers and a police K-9 was deployed. Following this, an officer-involved shooting occurred. ,” said the Westminster Police Department.

Stabbing

Police are now saying the suspect who stabbed to death racing’s Bobby East was killed two days after the stabbing incident.

Members of the West County SWAT team went to the Anaheim apartment complex on Friday in search of suspect Trent William Milsap. The department said that Milsap reportedly “confronted,” and was eventually killed in a shootout with police.

Former NASCAR driver Bobby East was stabbed to death at a Westminster, Calif., gas station on Wednesday.

He was 37 years old.

According to the Westminster Police Department, it responded to 76 gas stations after calls reporting stabbings. Police found the former “suffering from a severe knife wound in the chest area”.

Authorities tried life-saving measures and paramedics took the former to a local hospital where he died.

Knife suspect Trent William Milsap was shot dead in Anaheim on Friday as officers tried to arrest him, the Westminster Police Department said.

Police say they had no intention of stabbing and investigations into both deaths are ongoing.
