The Knoxville native defeated Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 38 to capture her first WWE Raw Women’s Championship on Saturday night. He first SmackDown! The Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 on April 10, 2021.
Belair organized SmackDown! version of the championship for 133 days before losing to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam 2021 in Paradise, Nev.

This is the second year in a row that WWE’s EST has been eliminated from WrestleMania as champion, once again starring in a match of the night. The 32-year-old defeated Becky Lynch via KOD to win her first Raw Women’s Championship and finally got revenge on Big Time Beck after SummerSlam Squash last summer.
Speaking to BT Sport’s Ariel Helwani, Belair commented on her WrestleMania 38 win and said that she couldn’t have asked for it better.
“Last year, I came to WrestleMania as a rookie and I was there to prove myself against Sasha Banks. This year, it was more personal. It’s been going on at SummerSlam since August when Becky Lynch took the title from me in 26 seconds. She is doing everything possible to keep me away from it because she knew that when we finally fell down, I was going to be on top. This one was about redemption and more personal. It was my first time at WrestleMania in front of a whole crowd, the most people I’ve ever performed in front of and it was the fans who have been riding with me since SummerSlam. To be able to retain this title and celebrate with the fans, I couldn’t have wished for a better night.”
During the bout, Belair suffered a left eye injury after a boot to the face as Licht came off the top rope with a rolling kick. The move left Bianca with a swollen eye, but she says no major damage has been done.
Injury
The feud between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair reached a boiling point on an episode of Raw before WrestleMania 38, which was later confirmed by WWE.
The company had put him out of action indefinitely and it looked like the story was going to be delayed, but it looks like it won’t.
WWE confirmed in a statement on its website that Belair had fractured his neck following the attack by the Raw Women’s Champion. She was dropped from the Meet and Greet event and did not appear on the latest episode of Raw.
The statement issued regarding Belair’s injury read:
“Last Monday on Raw, Bianca Bellair suffered a fractured bone in her neck as a result of an attack by Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, WWE.com learned. The WWE Universe watched in horror as Lynch took down her WrestleMania challenger fashion, wrapping a chair around Belair’s head and neck before sending him to a steel ring post. Although Belair will not require surgery, he will be out of action for an unspecified amount of time after he recovers. Will be out, say officials.”
