While Steve Nash has kicked Simmons out of a play-in game or game, the Brooklyn Nets won’t completely close the door upon a playoff return. However, that return is unlikely and Brian Lewis’s time in the New York Post notes is running out on a comeback. Here’s what a source told Lewis:
“It looks like he’s doing a little bit better… you know, it’s just a matter of time. The problem is the season is coming to an end. But he’s doing [more] more. He’s going to agitate a little bit more.” Getting started, stuff like Altergy (an anti-gravity treadmill). So… we’re going to have to be patient with that. I don’t think it’ll need a procedure, though. But you’ve got to be patient with it.”
Return update
The Nets guard is expected to be ready to play the 2022-23 season. Simmons had a successful surgery at the nets and was out for three weeks before starting the rehab process. He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for training camp, but he will have to overcome some mental hurdles before he can take the court for his new team.
