Net Worth

By most accounts from rugby fans, this is the year of the Beauden Barrett. New Zealander Barrett won the 2016 World Rugby Player of the Year award. He plays as part of the New Zealand national rugby union team, the All Blacks, and was a key member of the 2015 Rugby World Cup winning team. Barrett also holds the world record for consecutive wins since his first Test (19 wins in 19 Tests).

Position

Known for his devastating speed, metronomic kicking boot and excellent game management skills, Beauden Barrett is one of the greatest players to ever wear a pair of shoes. In fact, in 2016 and 2017, he won back-to-back World Rugby Player of the Year awards and was inducted into the RugbyPass Hall of Fame in 2021.

Born on 27 May 1991, Beauden Barrett started playing rugby at a young age. By the age of 19, he had caught the attention of the national selectors and was selected in the New Zealand Sevens squad for the final two stages of the 2010 IRB Sevens World Series. At the same age, he made his debut for Taranaki in the ITM Cup.

After several impressive appearances for Taranaki, Beauden Barrett signed a deal with the Hurricanes at Super Rugby, where he remained from 2011–2019. During this period, he made 125 appearances for the side and scored over 1,200 points. In 2016, he also helped them capture the Super Rugby Championship.

However at the end of the 2019 season, Beauden Barrett left the Hurricanes and signed with the Blues. For the 2021 top league season, he also signed on to play for Suntory Sungoliath.

Although Beauden Barrett has enjoyed a distinguished career domestically, his greatest performance has arguably come in New Zealand shirts. To date, he has been capped almost 90 times by his country and made his last attempt at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, when New Zealand took home the trophy.

With many years of elite international rugby still ahead of him, we can’t wait to see what more Buden Barrett can accomplish in the game of rugby.
