Mayfield has had a torn labrum in his left shoulder since September 19, a fractured humerus bone in the same non-throwing arm since October 17, a painful left foot since November 7, and a right knee contusion since Sunday’s 45-7 loss to the New England Patriots.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said after the game that Mayfield had a knee contusion. Mayfield might have re-entered the game, according to Stefanski. Stefanski explained that he opted against it since the quarterback had been taking a lot of hits and the game was already out of reach. Stefanski stated, “Baker is a competitor.”
