Baker Reagan Mayfield (born April 14, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). After a stint with Texas Tech, Mayfield played college football in Oklahoma, where he won the Heisman Trophy as a senior. He was selected by the Browns for the first time overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Trade
The New York Jets were between a rock and a hard spot this past off-season with their quarterback decision.
They may choose to keep Sam Darnold and move the dice up into 2021 with a better supporting cast. Or they can’t pivot to the second-best quarterback named Trevor Lawrence in the 2021 NFL draft and let him do the fighting at camp.
He ended up making the last choice, brushing away the former No. 3 overall pick, and starting anew with Zach Wilson out of BYU.
Future
It’s undeniable that words can be attributed to Baker Mayfield’s idea of playing for another team, but with the Cleveland Browns currently claiming the title as the NFL’s most disappointing team, it’s fair game.
And if the Browns lose one of their next two to close 2021, it’ll be a topic you hear and read about all winter.
I’ve already seen another topic we never thought we’d be addressing this time last year, when I looked at a potential veteran replacement for Mayfield.
I hope this is a discussion we can keep on the shelf as the Browns celebrate a division title, but if they don’t, it’s fair to wonder whether the Browns can do better.

Brown defeated Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt defeated them in a 26–14 defeat on “Monday Night Football” at Heinz Field.
Quarterback Baker Mayfield took nine sacks, four of which were credited to Watts.
Now Mayfield is looking to sit in the regular-season final against the AFC North champion Cincinnati Bengals on January 9 because he is “damaged enough” to undergo surgery on the left, non-throwing shoulder he injured in Week 2. and the Browns were knocked out of the playoff race on Sunday.
Watt’s outstanding performance against Brown (7-9) is one thing. He is a four-time Pro Bowl and two-time All-Pro selection. He’s going to make plays for the Steelers (8-7-1).

On the one-year anniversary of securing a playoff spot for the first time since 2002 – leading to their first playoff win since 1994 – the Browns would play their first game as the team was eliminated from the 2021 postseason.
The Brown-Steelers performance on “Monday Night Football” lost much of its meaning when Sunday’s results left the Browns out of the playoff picture and the Steelers barely left in it.
Still, it’s the Browns-Steelers, it’s a Manningcast (with Aaron Rodgers among the guests), and Ben Roethlisberger playing his final home game in a Pittsburgh uniform. Roethlisberger is 24-3-1 as a starter against the Browns, including a 15-10 win in Cleveland on October 31.
