Baker Reagan Mayfield (born April 14, 1995) is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). After a stint with Texas Tech University, Mayfield played college football at the University of Oklahoma, where he won the Heisman Trophy as a senior and was the first walk-on player to win the award. He was selected with the first overall pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Throughout his tenure in Cleveland, Mayfield’s progressive commercials were a staple of the football season, with the series portraying him as a resident of Browns Stadium completing chores for the team. The commercials featured Mayfield watering plants, mowing the lawn, washing dishes, and sweeping the stadium stairs.
The crushing reality of the unexpected effects of Mayfield being assigned to Carolina is that he wanted to do one last endorsement, but Progressive did not accept the offer. Mayfield pitched a follow-up installment to the series, and called Progressive’s reluctance to do so as a “missed opportunity”.
