Statue
Baker Meild knew that Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione was not going to allow Mayfield’s Heisman Park statue to plant his famous flag at Ohio State.
But, like everything with Mayfield, she had to make a little statement when settling on the pose.
After all, the Sooners liked his tight hand during the touchdown run during their 2017 Bedlam win.
“For that to be your little brother’s hard arm, they’re going to have to deal with him forever,” Mayfield said Saturday after the statue’s public dedication at halftime for the OU football spring game.
Mayfield’s NFL future is in flux after the Cleveland Browns acquired Deshaun Watson in a trade with the Houston Texans.
But while Mayfield doesn’t yet know his home address for next season, he still has a home in Norman.
Smoke filled the southeast tunnel at the Gaylord Family—at halftime at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium—and a crowd of more than 75,000 roared along the way several times during Mayfield’s storied OU career.
But instead of running towards the end field with his arms wildly waving, Mayfield makes a deliberate walk towards midfield, one that garners all kinds of praise from the crowd.
Heisman statue
Baker Mayfield is in the middle of a season that could politely be described as “turbulent,” but she still had a statue to look forward to unveiling.
As with every other Heisman winner, Oklahoma announced that Mayfield’s statue will be coming to its Heisman Park this year. The unveiling took place on Friday in a special ceremony ahead of the Sooners spring game.
If you think there’s something wrong with the statue, you’re not alone. It’s not quite at the level of the infamous Cristiano Ronaldo bust, but the lack of a helmet, quirky hair, literal Heisman pose and face that doesn’t look like Mayfield’s all add up to an easily counterfeit product.
To be fair to the artist, the biggest issue is that it’s hard to discern that Mayfield is wearing a headband from social media photos alone, which creates the image of a very high hairline. Mayfield’s statue also isn’t the only one not wearing a helmet; Other Heisman Park statues are helmetless, possibly because fans want to see the real faces of their heroes.

Ohio native Casey Dinges said on the syndicated radio show Rovers Morning Glory that she got in touch with 24-year-old Baker after messaging him on Twitter. She sent him a video of himself drinking beer at a 2019 Precision Browns game, copying a viral clip of him doing the same in August. He alleged that he soon added her on Snapchat.
“I obviously didn’t believe me ’cause it was a weird username. It wasn’t just Baker Mayfield,” she said. “I just kept asking for proof. I was like, ‘Show me it’s really you. ‘ … He was really sure, ‘Okay, you’re going to have to send me a video of your whole house and show me you’re not into anyone.'”
After 20-year-old Dinges confirmed she was single, the NFL star reportedly sent her a selfie to prove it was in fact her account.
“He was sending me messages like, ‘send me pictures’ and blah, blah, blah,” she claimed. “We were texting for a while, and then he was like, ‘Okay, come see me.’ So I got in my car and I went all the way to Westlake, and it was like behind the Cheesecake Factory in some weird development parking lot… and so he texted me when I was getting there and he was like Was, ‘You have to leave your phone in the car.'”
Affair
A small-town Ohio woman claims she had a one-time — and one-sided — hookup with married Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield in the parking lot of a cheesecake factory.
In a surprise radio segment, 20-year-old Casey Dinges effectively blew Mayfield’s first Valentine’s Day as a married man when he called her out for receiving a fellatio from “a few months ago.”
In a 35-minute on-camera interview with the Cleveland radio show “Rover’s Morning Glory,” Dinges claims he caught Mayfield’s eye on Snapchat when he sent her a playful video from a tailgate party outside a Browns preseason game Aug. 9 – Just one month after her California marriage.
“I think I was a bit like a beer. How he did it . . . and I sucked it up and threw it on the floor,” he said of the video, referring to Mayfield’s viral shotgunning stunt at a Cleveland Indians baseball game. Happened.
Recent high school graduate Dinges was stunned when a few days later, an account by Mayfield’s name reached out to her for more.
“It was a weird username,” she explained. “So I just kept asking for proof. ‘Show me it’s really you. Obviously I can’t believe someone is adding me, and it must be you.'”
Mayfield, 24, had reportedly put in place a strict arrangement to ensure his new wife, 28-year-old Emily Wilkinson, did not find out about his alleged scandalous social media activity.
“He was really sure, ‘Well, you have to show me a video of your whole house, so I know you’re not into anyone,'” she said. He then sent her a picture of himself, she said.
