The Bahrain Grand Prix , currently officially known as the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix for sponsorship reasons, is a Formula One motor racing event in Bahrain. The first race took place on 4 April 2004 at the Bahrain International Circuit. Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing took the lead in Friday’s practice ahead of today’s qualifying session, setting a best time of 1m31.936 in RB18.
