Sprint

Max Verstappen sweats hard to win the Austrian Grand Prix sprint race. The Red Bull driver took a dominant victory from pole to flag in his team’s home race at the Red Bull Ring, while behind him Ferrari’s challenge once again turned into an intra-team scrap that the Scuderia would have to resolve if their Have any chance of taking the fight for the Dutchman on Sunday.

In the 24-lap race that decided the grid for Sunday’s main event, Verstappen beat Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in second and third. In doing so, they have further increased their lead in the driver’s position. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton were fourth and eighth for Mercedes, for whom it was a rescue race after a disastrous qualifying session on Friday and tried hard to ensure their drivers got a shot on Sunday.
