In February 2021, Karatsev went through the qualifiers for the Australian Open. In his first main draw of the 114th-ranked Major, he defeated 8th seed Diego Schwartzman, 20th seed Felix Auger-Aliassim and 18th seed Grigor Dimitrov to reach the semi-finals. Karatsev is the first man to reach the semi-finals in his Grand Slam debut in the Open Era.

In March 2021, he won his first ATP title in doubles with Andrey Rublev at the Qatar Open.[3] A week later, as a wildcard, Karatsev defeated South African Lloyd Harris in the final, his first ATP at the 2021 Dubai Open. Won singles title. Karatsev, who was unseeded and defeated four seeded players to reach the final, joined the feat along with Wayne Ferreira (1995) and Thomas Muster (1997).[4] As a result, he won for the first time in his career. Entered the top 30 of the ATP singles rankings. On 24 April 2021, Karatsev entered the final at the Serbia Open by defeating world number 1 Novak Djokovic on his home court to reach the final. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, she won a silver medal in mixed doubles with Elena Vesnina.

Aslan Karatsev was a successful player at this year’s Australian Open, where he reached the semi-finals as a qualifier. The Russian upset three seeded opponents during his dream run – Diego Schwartzman, Felix Auger-Aliassim and Grigor Dimitrov.

It was his 10th attempt to reach a main draw in a Major, and the Russian made the most of his successful attempt, finishing at Melbourne Park. Karatsev is the first man to reach the semi-finals on his Grand Slam debut in the Open Era.

Clothing brands typically finalize their advertising deals and budgets in the fourth quarter of the year, which is one reason for Karatsev’s lack of sponsors. The 27-year-old’s newly signed agent, Pierre Kristen, revealed that he had received a few offers, but was waiting for the bigger picture.

“Since the ATP Cup and the Australian Open, we’ve had a lot of offers, but we’re looking forward to a bigger offer,” says their newly signed agent Pierre Christen. “Some clothing brands are in touch. If he finishes the year in the top 10 or 20, he will be worth more,” he said.

Aslan Karatsev had a contract with Head Rackets before moving to the Australian Open 2021. The Russian was sponsored by French cosmetics brand Ginot and its brand Marie Kohr ahead of their semi-final clash against Novak Djokovic in Melbourne.
