Aqib Talib is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at the University of Kansas, where he received consensus All-American honors, and was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

The former All-Pro announced his retirement after 12 NFL seasons. Talib will start a “multi-platform podcast” titled Call to the Booth as he moves into a media role.
Hall of fame:
The talkative, tough defender retired in classic Talib fashion. Amid saying his goodbyes via a social media video, the 34-year-old said he was asked by Bill Belichick to return for one more season to help cover tight ends.
Talib said while he would have liked another payday, the more he considered covering the likes of George Kittle, Travis Kelce, Darren Waller, etc. on the Pats’ schedule.

Yaqub Salik Talib is suspected in the Saturday night shooting that killed a man, police in the Dallas-area city of Lancaster said. Authorities have not yet identified the man, but family and friends say he was a coach.
Yaqub Talib was not in custody as of late Sunday and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The Associated Press sent a message seeking updated information Monday on the search for him.

Sunday’s fight started when Talib snatched Crabtree’s chain right off of his neck. That’s exactly where this beef began last season.
In the Broncos’ 24-6 win over the Raiders in Week 17 last season, Talib went over to Crabtree on the sideline and yanked his chain, breaking it. Cameras then spotted Talib later laughing about it.
