Contract with bucs:

Antonio Brown was already on thin ice with the Buccaneers upon returning from a suspension for misrepresenting a COVID-19 vaccination card, and it didn’t take much longer to see his Tampa Bay career come to an end.

Brown stormed off the field during the third quarter of Sunday’s Week 17 game against the New York Jets. After a conversation with Mike Evans, a heated Brown removed his jersey, threw his gloves and shirt into the stands and straight-up left… in the middle of the game. The meltdown was Brown’s final act with the Bucs as head coach Bruce Arians announced the wide receiver’s release after the game.

Quits game:

The Buccaneers were the team willing to absorb the odium of signing Brown in 2020 after a series of incidents that transformed one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL into someone that most teams thought wasn’t worth the risk because of his behavior.

He settled a lawsuit earlier this year with a former trainer who accused him of rape and sexual assault. Additionally, he had been accused of sexual misconduct and sending threatening text messages by another woman. 

Retired:

Antonio Brown, who seemed on the verge of a comeback for the 2020 season, announced on Monday that he is retiring from the NFL.

He then signed with the Patriots and played one game last season before being cut again. Even though he has now announced his retirement twice, it’s hard to believe this is the last time we’ll hear or see the enigmatic wide receiver make NFL headlines.
