During Sunday night’s Game 7 against the Denver Nuggets, rising face of the league Anthony Edwards was headed for the latest example of those familiar superstar growing pains. He was shooting horribly, unable to process Denver’s frequent double-teams and attempting to find the proper balance on his own to create opportunities for his struggling teammates and get back into a game that was quickly going away. Was slipping from their grip.
“It was tough, man, because I couldn’t find myself, my rhythm tonight,” Edwards said after the game. “So I just had to trust my guys, man. They kept screwing me, even though I was out, so I tried to make the right play.”
