Born in Chicago, Davis grew up in the South Side and played high school basketball for Perspectives Charter School, where he had attended school since sixth grade. The team plays in the Blue Division of the Chicago Public High School League, which is ignored by the media because of its lower level of competition. Perspectives is a charter school that operates as a math and science academy; it has a strong academic reputation, but minimal athletic success.

Injury update

Anthony Davis was forced to exit the Los Angeles Lakers’ Friday night game against the Minnesota Timberwolves for the second time due to what the team diagnosed as knee contusion.

Davis sustained the injury in the third quarter of the contest after Jaden McDaniels rolled on his ankle while falling. It was so bad the Davis collapsed in the tunnel while trying to go to the locker room.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Lakers confirmed the injury but Davis will still undergo further testing in Chicago–where they’ll play the Chicago Bulls on Sunday–to determine the severity and extent of the issue.

Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers finally got their man Saturday night when they reportedly agreed to a trade for New Orleans Pelicans superstar center Anthony Davis. The Lakers gave up Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and multiple unprotected first-round picks and swaps in exchange for the Pelicans’ franchise player.

Wife

Marlen P is the long time wife of Anthony Davis. Marlen is known to be not very public about her life and likes to remain very private and secretive. She hasn’t even revealed her surname to the public. She is apparently a native of LA. Marlen is of Dominican ancestry based on a previous bio she shared on her private Instagram account. She is also a woman of the Christian faith. Details of her family background are not available anywhere. Some sources state that she does have siblings. Anthony Davis supports her preference to remain out of the spotlight. Even his Instagram reveals very few pictures unrelated to basketball and with Marlen.

Mr glass

The Los Angeles Lakers are fearing a first round exit. During their Game 4 loss against the Phoenix Suns, the Lakers also lost Anthony Davis to a groin injury. The team looked lost without him on the court and they succumbed to an eight point loss, eventually.

With the series tied at 2-2, many fans were hoping that AD would return by the next game. But the possibility of that happening looks grim now. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently revealed the latest update on the injury situation and it wasn’t what the Laker fans were eager to hear.

He said, “I’m not hearing great optimism about the possibility of playing in Game 5. He’s not been ruled out. He’s going to see how he feels today until tomorrow. This is normally an injury that might take you at least a week to fully recover from, if you were in the regular season.”

With the game a day away, the Purple and Gold could be in a lot of trouble. AD is already an injury prone player, so expecting him to recover from an injury that usually takes a week in less than two days, seems unrealistic. This has got the Lake Show fans on Twitter worrying about the situation too.

Knee Injury

Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers’ injury problems continued on Friday night when star big man Anthony Davis suffered an apparent knee injury during the team’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

In the middle of the third quarter, LeBron James passed the ball to Davis, then tried to create some space by pushing off on Jaden McDaniels. LeBron was called for an offensive foul on the play, but the bigger issue was that McDaniels fell right into Davis’ leg.
