Who is parents

Angel Reese was born on May 6, 2002, in Randallstown to parents Angel and Michael Reese. Her mother is a former basketball player who played for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and is originally from Luxembourg. Angel’s father, Michael Reese, is an alumnus of both Boston College and Loyola (Maryland).

Angel Reese has several relatives who are athletes, including her cousin Jordan Hawkins, a prospect for the UConn Huskies. Like Angel, Jordan is a talented basketball player and they are only a month apart in age, with Jordan being born on April 29, 2002. Despite growing up together, Jordan was raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Why does cover one leg

Angel Reese wears a one-legged sleeve, which serves both practical and symbolic purposes. The junior forward wears the apparatus due to a Jones fracture that she suffered in her left foot during her freshman year at Maryland. The injury forced her to miss much of the season and limited her playing time to just 15.3 minutes per game, despite being ranked as the No. 2 player in the country coming out of high school. The sleeve also serves as a symbol of her journey back to full health and her determination to overcome adversity.

Although Reese had to undergo a procedure to have a rod inserted into her leg, she has not been significantly impacted by the injury in the long run. However, the injury has left a noticeable scar that Reese prefers to conceal during games.

Apart from this reason, Reese also draws inspiration from two of the WNBA’s most renowned players, A’ja Wilson and T’ea Cooper, for her fashion decision. Reese explained that she admires both players and notes that they also cover their scars, which she finds stylish. Reese commented on her decision to cover her scar, saying, “It’s swag, but I’ve used it to conceal my scar.”
