Andrew Wiggins’ father, Michelle Wiggins, was born on September 28, 1959, in Kinston North Carolina. He attended North Lenore High School in LaGrange, North Carolina. He attended college at Truett-McConnell CC, Clemson and Florida State, where his skill as a shooting guard made him one of the top draft prospects in the nation.

In 1983, Mitchell Wiggins was drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft. He was the 23rd pick overall. He started with the Chicago Bulls. In 1984 he went to the Houston Rockets and the team made it to the 1986 NBA Finals. In the 1989–1990 season he averaged 15.5 points per game, his highest. He also played for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 1991–1992 season and then went on to play overseas in Europe.

College

On January 13, 2014, Wiggins scored 17 points and collected 19 rebounds in a 77–70 win over Iowa State, becoming only the second freshman (along with Michael Kidd-Gilchrist) in the past 15 years to have scored those in a win. Got the numbers. A ranked opponent.

Wiggins averaged 17.1 points per game (PPG), 5.9 rebounds per game (RPG), and scored 34.1% of his three-point field goals in his freshman year at Kansas.
