In his first game of his college career, St. Brown made seven receptions for 98 yards and one touchdown. On September 15, St. Brown scored a career-high 167 yards in a game against Texas.  St. Brown finished his freshman season with 60 catches, 750 yards and three touchdowns. As a sophomore in 2019, he finished with 77 receptions for 1,042 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.

Fantasy

This season, St. Brown has 82 receptions and four receptions for 803 yards. He has 70 receiving yards in five straight games and four touchdowns in the stretch. I think he will finish the season on a strong note and put up big fantasy numbers this week. The Green Bay Packers defense allows 213.7 passing yards per game which ranks 9th in the NFL. It’s a difficult prediction because we don’t yet know who will be active and who won’t be active for this Packers defense. No matter who is there, St. Brown will get his welcome.

St. Browne was named after Amun, the supreme god in Egyptian religion, because of his father’s interest in black consciousness and African heritage. St. Browne transferred to Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. Previously attended Servite High School in Anaheim, California as a freshman. As a senior in 2017, he had 72 receptions for 1,320 yards and 20 touchdowns.  A five-star recruit, St. Brown is committed to the University of Southern California (USC) to play college football.  He played with future USC teammate JT Daniels at Mater Dei.

Whenever I’m trying to take it easy or I feel good about myself or, ‘Oh, that’s just another set,’ all I have to do is if someone reminds me or if I’m about to. I think it’s time. I’m going even harder. Those 16 receivers that went before me, I’ll never forget them,” St. Brown told Kyed. The PFF writer says St. Brown knows he is producing more than the first three receivers – Jammer Chase, Jaylen Waddle and Devonta Smith. And here comes another vivid quote: “I want all the coaches who passed on me to regret it. It’s something I love, they do so well seeing me and they know they passed on me, it’s the feeling that I want them to never forget. I keep an eye on these receivers too. I see what they are doing, check their stats and just keep pushing,” St. Brown said.

It continues the series of articles comparing 2021 draft probabilities for previous years and picks the most similar comps with a clearly delineated and quantified methodology. PFF data scientist Eric Eager has done a tremendous job building college-to-pro estimates, which are built from robust college data collected since 2014 and applied to exercises such as creating “analytics” mocks. In this analysis, I will use some of my advanced statistics for comparison, but mainly rely on traditional statistics to compare the 2021 probabilities with the draft orbits going back to 2006. Without a combination of NFL scouting this season, critical measurements like weight and 40-yard dashes will be reported through various pro days over the next few weeks.
