Amari Cooper (born June 17, 1994) is an American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football in Alabama, where he was the winner of the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver and a unanimous All-American in 2014. Widely considered the top wide receiver prospect of the 2015 NFL Draft, Cooper was selected with the fourth overall pick. Oakland Raiders.

Interception
Brown’s wide receiver Amari Cooper threw one of the worst passes you’ve ever seen on Monday night, taking the ball on trick play and throwing it straight to Bengals defensive back Von Bell. Afterwards, Cooper put the blame entirely on himself.
“It was an abomination,” Cooper said. “It kept running in my mind, ‘Okay, if that ain’t open, throw it away.’ I didn’t really realize how difficult it was to throw the ball, because that’s what I tried to do. I didn’t try to throw it. I was trying to get the ball back on the line of scrimmage. I looked up, It was in the other guy’s hand. It was terrible. Don’t ask me to throw more passes.”
Cooper said that Brown had seen film of other teams successfully running the same play, and thought he might do the same, but now he has more respect for how difficult Jacobi Brissette’s job is.
“I was so excited,” Cooper said. “I saw it twice on film work. It was sad. So much respect for Jacobi and the other quarterbacks because they have a touching position. I’m just going to be open.”
Despite the ugly interception, Cooper had a stellar game, with five passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in a 32–13 Browns victory.
Salary
In March 2020, Cooper signed a five-year, $100 million contract extension with the Cowboys. His $20 million salary for 2022 was guaranteed Sunday, prompting the Cowboys to trade him.
Brown agreed Friday to trade Watson to the Houston Texans and a deal with him on a $230 million five-year contract with full guarantees, a source confirmed.
