Suspension

Alvin Kamara: Suspension| Fantasy outlook| Assult| Brother

The New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has so far avoided a battery charge-related suspension that came from an incident over Pro Bowl weekend in Las Vegas in early 2022.

So far, the NFL has probably avoided handing over the suspension because court proceedings have been repeatedly delayed by courts to allow both sides to gather more evidence.

A video of the incident was leaked by TMZ over the weekend, however, which could very well speed up the timeline. We have seen that the league refrains from awarding punishment when court proceedings are on but speed things up when clear video evidence comes to the fore.

Ray Rice was suspended indefinitely after an initially mild suspension related to a domestic abuse incident. Karim Hunt was hacked by the chiefs after a video of a known incident was released. Recently, however, Davante Adams was not suspended until court proceedings began despite video of an incident where he pushed a credentialed camera operator to the ground, taking place on national television.

Fantasy outlook

Below, we’ll dive a little deeper into Kamara’s fantasy outlook for 2022 and try to figure out if he’s worth drafting into his current ADP

How long will Alvin Kamara be out?
Last February during Pro Bowl week in Las Vegas, Kamara was arrested and charged with battery that resulted in considerable physical damage. As things currently stand, it is unlikely that Kamara will be judged with a suspension to start the season. He recently pushed back his hearing, as he was originally scheduled to appear in court on August 1.

Seeing the lawyers in the impending trial all call for a 60-day status check, Kamara looks visibly, but it’s still possible — in fact, potentially — that he gets hit with a suspension during the season, Something fantasy owners should keep in mind when drafting Kamara. Their draft perception benefits from this 60-day status check, but a mid-to-late season suspension could actually have a big impact on fantasy owners.

How long Kamara’s suspension will last is difficult to say. Originally, it was assumed that he would get six games, but after Deshan Watson received six games for more serious charges, Kamara preferred to get two to four games.

The latest report from Adam Schefter suggested that Kamara has a real chance of avoiding suspension outright this season, and if that happens, Kamara will certainly outlive her ADP.

Alvin Kamara Fantasy Ranking and ADP
SN Fantasy has taken Kamra to No. 6 in PPR formats and No. 8 RB in standard scoring formats. When on the field, Kamara is still the Saints’ most prolific playmate, as he finished seventh in yards scored last season. If it weren’t for the potential suspension, Kamara would probably be one of the top five.

After being one of the top ranked RBs to enter the Fantasy Draft last season, Kamara’s starting ADP currently sits at No. 20 per FantasyPro.

Assult

Alvin Kamara kicked a man in the back and repeatedly punched him during a violent brawl inside a Las Vegas hotel earlier this year, shows new video obtained by TMZ Sports.

But, sources close to Kamra say that the video does not tell the full story, claiming that the alleged victim turned violent first.

The incident took place on 5 February inside The Cromwell Hotel & Casino.

Alvin Kamara sued over alleged Vegas beatdown, man demands $10 million
According to an October lawsuit filed by Darnell Greene, the dispute subsided after he and the New Orleans Saints superstar had an argument outside an elevator at the hotel’s popular Dre’s nightclub.

Green alleged that he tried to climb the lift along with Kamra and Kamra’s accomplices. But, he claimed in his suit that the football player stopped him from proceeding by “throwing his hand on Green’s chest” and then brutally attacking him.

In the new footage, you can see Kamra – dressed in a light shirt and signature dreads – hurling multiple blows at Greene.

The clip shows that the punches eventually led the man to the ground. While descending, the video shows several other men jumping into the attack – kicking and stomping the boy before exiting.

Brother

The sports docu-series follows the training and preparation of the Dallas Cowboys for the upcoming NFL season.

One of the players featured in episode two was second-year linebacker/edge rusher Azur Kamara.

Born in Ivory Coast, West Africa, Kamara moved to the United States at the age of ten.

His mother and stepfather immigrated to America five years ago as a refugee from the First Ivorian Civil War.

While her mother found asylum in the US, Kamara and her siblings lived as refugees in New Guinea for years.

Azur’s mother eventually gained approval to allow her children to emigrate to America, and the young man found himself in Phoenix, Arizona, unable to speak English, let alone playing football.

Young player started out as a football player
When Azure came to America, he dreamed of playing professional football for his native Ivory Coast.

However, he was quickly introduced to football by a coach at his high school in Phoenix.

He told USA Today, “[The coach] pulled me aside and asked me what sport I was playing.

“He told me I looked like a tall kid and that I should try football. [The coach] thought I was a good fit and asked me to come over to try it for him. I really got the idea at the time. I didn’t like it. I loved football, and I didn’t really know anything about football. My stepfather was with me, and he encouraged me to give it a shot.

“He told me you never know what could happen. I’m so glad I decided to give it a shot. I wouldn’t be who I am today if I didn’t.”

What was Azur Kamara’s high school and college?
The youngster quickly turned to football, and played at Central High School.

Kamara later took an offer from Arizona Western College, where he played
