Fantasy Week 14
Friday Update: Kamara does not have an injury designation for Week 14, which means the Saints will have their best offensive against the Jets on Sunday. The running back missed four games due to a knee sprain.
Thursday’s Update: Kamra again did a full-fledged exercise and this week looks like a complete go-to against a bad jet defence.
Wednesday’s Update: Kamara was able to complete practice on Wednesday, backing up earlier reports that he will return against the Jets this week.
New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is set to return to the New York Jets in Week 14, according to Jeff Duncan. Kamara last played in Week 9 when he injured his knee against the Falcons. He has been involved in several limited rehearsals and appeared close to returning last week, so he should be fully prepared at this point in the season.

Injury
The New Orleans Saints are driving back Alvin Kamara, who will move to the New York Jets in full on Sunday, after missing the past four weeks with knee and hamstring injuries.
Kamara rehearsed thoroughly throughout the week and the team’s official condition report on Friday showed no injuries. Both Kamara and Saints coach Sean Payton said he felt healthy enough to play last Thursday night’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys. But Peyton said, “I didn’t want to set him back.”
“He said I was close?” said Kamara, who was listening to Payton’s visit with the media on Friday afternoon, before speaking himself. “I mean, as close as I could put on my helmet. I felt good. But I’m definitely healthy, I’m healthy.
“But I think Sean played it right. I wasn’t mad at him for what he did. He was like, ‘I guess we need another week.’ I’m like, ‘Ah. I kinda want to help us win.’ But it’s all good.”
Peyton and Kamara both explained that it was actually the hamstring injury that has been plaguing Kamara in recent weeks, when he initially suffered a knee injury at week 9. Kamara returned to practice on a limited basis in Week 11, but then suffered what he described as a “slightly slight twist” with the hamstrings.
Kamra said he did not think it was related to the knee injury. Blame the cleats she wore that day, and has since discarded them.
Contract
Count Alvin Kamara as one of the NFL’s most frugal spenders. He’s worked hard to earn a $75 million contract extension with the Saints, and he plans to extend it for a long, long time. Kamara discussed his approach during an interview with Uninterrupted’s “Needing Dough” series hosted by former pro wideout Andrew Hawkins. He says watching his family struggle growing up and with financial insecurities had a lasting impact on him.
“I’ve always known the value of a dollar,” Kamara recalled. “As a child, I saw my mother do too many jobs to be able to do only the very essential.”
He went back to a visceral image: a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter, two staples he continues to stock in his kitchen. Aside from the initial splurge on a box of feathers after receiving his rookie signing bonus, Kamara has paid for all of his living expenses with money brought in from sponsorship deals, siphoning his paychecks into savings and investment accounts.
Net Worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Alvin Kamara’s net worth can be estimated at around $4 million. Much of the 25-year-old’s net worth can be linked to his wages from the New Orleans Saints and his other business ventures. Kamara is set to receive $2 million in salary according to ESPN, while his deal includes a $15 million signing bonus over the life of the extension. His base salary increased to $22.4 million in 2025, while he is also eligible for performance and roster bonuses in the years to come.
