UFC 280: Oliveira vs Makhachev takes place on 22 October at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. UFC bantamweight champion Aljaman Sterling (22-3) is the former titleholder T.J. Dilshaw (17-5) in the co-main event of the night. The fight aired live on ESPN pay-per-view.
Dillashaw falls into the stereotype but that’s going to change a lot. Sterling is out in the conservative.
Immediate action on the part of both men kicking and kicking. Sterling catches a kick and after a few scuffles, Sterling ends up on top. Dilashaw is moaning in pain and has injured himself during the scuffle. It looked like he could tap. The commentary team is saying something about a collar bone or dislocation. And meanwhile, Sterling has gone to Mt and he begins to unload.
There’s nothing Dillashaw can offer here and if he gets really injured, so be it. Sterling is a monster from this situation and Dilshaw rolls to give up his back. Sterling has a body triangle and is attacking the neck, which is actually better for Dilshaw than the shots he is eating.
Dilshaw is still rolling but Sterling is staying with him and he is clearly hurt. He had space and couldn’t walk at all. Sterling isn’t offering any quarters, staying at it. Dilshaw couldn’t have had a worse start than this.
Sterling in the backpack again with the triangle closed and he’s going away but again, it’s better for Dilshaw. Dillashaw turns around and gets up but Sterling throws the hi down again. Dilashaw is able to get up and go into space but on his legs you can see that his left shoulder is dislocated. It’s just hanging on and Sterling’s corner is yelling the same thing to him. This Dilshaw is still there, it is a testament to his will power.
