A 23-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Melbourne at the weekend has been identified as promising basketball player Alier Riak.

Death cause:
Victoria Police are still hunting for his attacker, having found Mr Riak with stab wounds to his upper body after they were called to reports of a brawl between a group of men in Bourke Street in Docklands.
Another 26-year-old man stabbed in the incident was discharged from The Alfred hospital on Sunday morning.
Members of the basketball community were among those mourning Mr Riak’s death on Monday.

Police were yet to make any arrests related to the incident on Monday evening. A 16-year-old boy, Declan Cutler, was also fatally stabbed at Reservoir in Melbourne’s north on the weekend.
