Alexandro Pereira (born 7 July 1987) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and former kickboxer who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the middleweight division. In kickboxing, he is a former Glory Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Champion, and has also competed in promotions such as It’s Showtime and SuperCombat Fighting Championships. as of September 5, 2022.

Alex Pereira is widely regarded as one of the greatest kickboxers of all time. The Brazilian has an impressive record of 33 wins, 21 knockouts and 7 losses. He was also a multi-division champion during his time in Glory Kickboxing. He held titles at both middleweight and light heavyweight before making the transition to the UFC.

‘Potan’, which translates to ‘Hands of Stone’, earned the nickname with some brutal one-punch KOs during his kickboxing days. He is also the only fighter to defeat Israel Adesanya, who has defeated ‘The Last Stylebender’ twice. The pair is now all set to fight each other at UFC 281.
