Adam Zimmer (January 13, 1984 – October 31, 2022) was an American professional football coach in the National Football League (NFL). He was an assistant defensive backs coach and offensive analyst for the Cincinnati Bengals, assistant linebackers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints, and linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings. Zimmer was the son of former Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer.

Zimmer’s father, Mike Zimmer, is a longtime NFL coach. Mike Zimmer was the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 to 2021, and Adam served on his staff throughout his father’s tenure with the Vikings.
Zimmer’s mother, Vicky, passed away unexpectedly in 2009 at the age of 50.
“My brother was one of my best friends, especially after my mom died, we became so close,” Corey Zimmer wrote on Instagram Tuesday morning. “He was always there for me and always first and volunteer at my foundation programs… I never even had to ask. Always told me how well I did a job and how proud he was of me.”
Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins took to Twitter on Tuesday to pay tribute to the Adam and Zimmer family after learning of his passing.
