Adam Parish Wainwright (born August 30, 1981), nicknamed “Vino” and “Uncle Charlie”, is an American professional baseball pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). The Atlanta Braves selected him 29th overall in the first round of the 2000 amateur draft from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia. Wainwright’s performances in the minor leagues earned him notice as one of the Braves’ top pitching prospects. The Braves traded him to the Cardinals after the 2003 season, acquiring outfielder J.D. Drew. Wainwright made his MLB debut on September 11, 2005, against the New York Mets.

Hall of Fame
One could almost say that title a little differently. It could have read, “Adam Wainwright deserves to make it to the Hall of Fame,” but I didn’t want to show my Cardinals bias in the article title.
As a lifelong fan of the Cardinals, I have followed Adam Wainwright’s illustrious career, along with thousands of others. I’m sure every fan thinks that the best players from their favorite team deserve a shot at the Hall of Fame, but in this case it’s a little different.
Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina and Adam Wainwright have been my favorite players ever since Ozzy Smith gave Birds on the Bat. So, I went to the point of placing Veno among the greats, but I found out that he was among the greats, whether I wanted him there or not.
I am a loyal Cardinals fan and a staunch Adam Wainwright fan; It’s my case for Vino to make it to the MLB Hall of Fame.
