ACC tournament live updates: Bracket| Scores| How to watch Wednesday’s games
On the heels of a home loss to North Carolina on Saturday to kick off the regular season, Duke avoided disaster Thursday in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament. 1 seed Blue Devils used a late bounce to get away from No 9 seed Syracuse for an 88–79 victory. Syracuse, playing without leading scorer Buddy Boehm, took a 79–78 lead on the 3:32 mark before finally fading against a team that blew them twice during the regular season.
Bracket
The ACC tournament has long been considered one of the best post-game events because it usually involves the upsets, drama, and everything we love about college basketball in March. This year’s event, which takes place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, may be even more substantial than usual, however, as the league needs a strong showing from some of its NCAA Tournament bubble teams to salvage a rocky season.
Things began on Tuesday with the league’s bottom six seeds playing for the right to advance to Wednesday’s second round. No. 13 seed Boston College, No. 10 seed Clemson and No. 11 seed Louisville each advanced, keeping their season alive for at least one more game.
No. 2 seed Notre Dame, No. 3 seed North Carolina, No. 4 seed Miami and No. 5 seed Wake Forest are hoping to start the post season on a good note this week in the hopes of the NCAA Tournament. Everyone else except Duke may need to win the ACC tournament to reach the NCAA tournament. Never sleep in Syracuse and Virginia as candidates to do so. The number 9 seed Orange and the number 6 seed Cavaliers are both led by coaches who have won national championships.

How to watch Wednesday’s games
The 2022 ACC tournament will, in some sense, mark the end of a long and prosperous era in the conference. If you support the Blue Devils, that is.
Yes, last time Duke coach Mark Krzyzewski at the 2022 ACC tournament could earn another conference title for his already significant collection. The win would be his 16th in this tournament while the head coach at Duke. It is also notable that Duke would collect their 22nd conference title with a conference tournament win – five without Krzyzewski going ahead.
Fortunately for Krzyzewski, his team, which secured the tournament’s No. 1 seed, looks to be the team to beat in the overall weak slate of ACC teams. That said, the Blue Devils’ story ended the regular season after North Carolina defeated them 94–81 in Coach Kay’s last game at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
