All off-season, Rodgers had some issues with the Green Bay Packers’ front office. He did not make it to the training camp on time and many believed that he was about to retire. There was also a possibility that Rodgers was about to be traded. The Steelers would be a good destination for Rodgers. He has one of the best defenses in the NFL. They also have an above-average achieving core. For most of Rodgers’ career, he has worked with a below-average achieving core. He has some legendary receivers that he is capable of throwing, but overall the depth of receiving hasn’t always been great. Rodgers and the Packers are once again one of the best teams in football this year. The Steelers, on the other hand, are struggling for the first time in years.

Regardless, Rodgers revealed on Sunday night that he plans to play against the Lions. He hopes that Davante Adams will join him. The veteran quarterback clearly wants to maintain his recent offensive momentum. This is the first game that got my toe through the game with no problems, no pregame painkiller shots, so I feel good,” Rodgers said via NFL.com. “I’m happy about that. A couple of weeks ago was definitely a time when we started doing projects and thought if we could find a seed, it might be a couple of more weeks of rest, but I’m going to take the next week. Going to play and I expect Davante (Adams) to play and play our guys, so we’re looking forward to end the season on a high note and get a bye again.
