Coming less than a week after the now much disparaged Green Bay Packers player admitted he hadn’t had the anti-Covid jabs despite declaring in the summer that he was “immunized,” the sudden appearance of SNL’s Pete Davidson as Rodgers popped up on a graphic on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.

“Aaron, you led off Saturday Night Live, dude,” SiriusXM and YouTube host and ex-NFL punter McAfee joked to a clearly not overly amused Rodgers – who offered a muted response at best.

In an interview on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers said he was allergic to an ingredient used in two mRNA vaccines – Pfizer and Moderna – and steered away from the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after reports of adverse reactions. 

In April, the administering of the J&J vaccine was paused after rare, but severe reports of blood clotting in six individuals. It was lifted 11 days later after the Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined the benefits of the vaccine outweighed the risks.

Los Angeles Lakers icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did not mince words Monday in his criticism of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ handling of his COVID-19 diagnosis.

Back in August, the 37-year-old Rodgers told reporters that he was “immunized” against the coronavirus, leading many to believe that he was vaccinated against the disease. However, last week, Rodgers confirmed that he is in fact unvaccinated against COVID-19.
