Pat McAfee could play Jim Gray this NFL off-season.
Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers told McAfee on Tuesday that he may announce a decision about his future on The Pat McAfee Show or in person with the former Indianapolis Colts punter.
Noting the uncertainty about his next move, Rodgers told McAfee that “everything is definitely on the table,” whether it be retirement, a return to the Packers or sue for another team.
The 10-time pro bowler is set to earn $46.4 million next season, so retirement is unlikely, especially in light of the San Francisco 49ers’ loss in the NFC divisional round. It would be a poignant last act for an NFL legend.
Tuesday
In a few weeks everyone thinks that the Packers quarterback will be back in the franchise and there are other clues that may indicate that he may be playing elsewhere.
He has given some hints about the season on his weekly appearances on “The Pat McAfee Show”, about his feelings on the organization after a turbulent off-season.
Asked by McAfee on Tuesday whether he’d like to be the Green Bay Packer after praising the organization for the team’s acquisition, Rodgers took a long pause and then said: “I like to play ball.”
Book club list
During his first appearance of the season on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers opted to talk about a topic he cares so much about, Reading! Marquez Valdez Scantling asked Rodgers for advice on some book suggestions to read during training camp. Rodgers went to Barnes & Noble and picked up some books for them. This inspired Rodgers to share some of his favorite books with the world. Pat liked the idea, and thus, the Aaron Rodgers Book Club was born!
We’ve gathered the full list from The Pat McAfee Show with interview sections where Rodgers reveals and talks about each week’s book.
We’ll keep adding to our selection of books as Aaron Rodgers continues to make them available every week. I’ve provided links to Amazon, but I guess I’d be discounted if I didn’t suggest supporting your local public library and/or local booksellers whenever possible.
