Welcome to FTW Explains, a guide to capture and better understand what is going on in the world. You may have heard that Aaron Rodgers told Pat McAfee about the punch he had done and wondered what was up with it. We’re here to help.

As he has done for the past few years, Aaron Rodgers spoke to Pat McAfee about what could be a chaotic off-season for him and the Green Bay Packers continuing, hours after he gave Shailene Woodley, his teammates and fans a long Instagram message posted.

During that conversation he mentioned that he has just done Panchakarma Shuddha after the end of the season.

And now, you’re probably wondering what the heck is that.

12 Day Cleanse

If you thought all the off-season rumors set fire behind Aaron Rodgers, wait until you get a load of what he’s done over the past two weeks.

Rodgers, the NFL MVP who’s made it no secret that he prefers unproven, alternative treatments (hello, vaccine controversy), says he just completed a 12-day Panchakarma cleanse that typically involves vomiting, laxatives, and other discomforts. A whole bunch of stuff is involved.

During an appearance with Pat McAfee, Rodgers said of the Panchakarma purification Tuesday, “Look at this.” “It’s a purification that originated in India. It’s been going on for thousands of years and it’s something I’ve done in the off-season.”

Panchakarma

Here’s a look at Aaron Rodgers’ Panchakarma Shuddhi that originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago

Football quarterback Aaron Rodgers has yet to make a decision about his future with the Green Bay Packers. After another guest appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” the four-time MVP explained why he was not making that decision today.

Rodgers told McAfee that he had just completed a Panchakarma cleanse, which has taken him off the grid for the past two weeks.

“There will be no news today,” Rodgers said. “No judgment on my future. As I was texting with you yesterday, I have just come out of the 12-day Panchakarma. look it up I know you did after we talked. It is a purification that originated in India. This has been going on for thousands of years, and it’s something I’ve done in the off-season. So I’m going to lay my hand on the sand right now and see what’s going on there.”

Aaron Rodgers did not share any news about his future with the Packers on Tuesday. Instead, he used his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” to share that he recently did a 12-day Panchakarma cleanse.

The news is certainly disappointing for those who are interested in what the future holds for the two-time defending NFL MVP. But he at least shared a glimpse of his health, even though most people have never heard of Panchakarma. The practice – a principle of Ayurvedic medicine – is largely unknown and understood in American medicine.
