Obviously an argument could be made for MLB’s FWAR leader Manny Machado (3.4), or even Mike Trout, but what the judge has done during a quarter-season is simply remarkable. He leads the best team in baseball and leads the league with 17 home runs in 42 games played.

Judge’s 209 wRC is only behind Trout (216), but his absurd .688 slugging percentage and .375 ISO are the best points in baseball. If he can maintain this production for the rest of the season, Judge could almost double the value of the $213.5 million expansion he was awarded a few months ago.

Last year, Judge put together her first completely healthy season since her record-setting Rookie of the Year campaign in 2017. The right fielder played in 148 games, made his third All-Star appearance, won his second Silver Slugger and finished fourth. AL MVP voting.

It’s been quite a season for Aaron Judge. First round pick in the 2013 Major Leg Baseball Amateur Player Draft from Lyndon, Calif. Since arriving in Major League Baseball, Judge has demonstrated the ability to hit with profuse power. He broke Mark McGuire’s home run record at the age of 24. He is entering his final season of his rookie contract. The three-time American League All-Star is on pace to reach 200 home runs this year. He has a 162-game average of 46 home runs per year and a career slowing percentage of .563. After the 2021 season ended, it was an increasing certainty that Judge would sign an extension and attempt to establish himself among the veterans of the New York Yankees franchise. However, things did not go according to plan.
