What happened to

Freddie Flintoff 2024: What happened to| Crash| Wife

Flintoff was involved in a crash on 13 December 2022 at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, home of the Top Gear test track.

While it was initially reported that he was traveling at speed, The Sun claimed last month that he was only traveling at 22 mph at the time of the accident and that there was no fault with the vehicle.

He was airlifted to hospital and at the time his injuries were described as non-life threatening, but his son Corey told the Mail Online that he was lucky to be alive.

“It was a terrible accident,” he said. “It’s shocking. We’re all shocked but hopefully he’ll be OK.”

In a statement shared in April, the BBC said it would be inappropriate to resume production of season 34 “under these circumstances” following an internal investigation into the incident.

In October, it was confirmed that Flintoff had signed a deal with the BBC, which The Sun reported was worth £9 million, based on the presenter’s two-year earnings ending.

Crash

Freddie Flintoff has revealed the horrific injuries he suffered in a high-speed Top Gear crash and admitted he doubts he’ll ever be in the same condition again in a new clip.

The 46-year-old man was driving a three-wheeler on the test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey when the car overturned and slid across the track, causing serious facial injuries and broken ribs.

In a selfie taken just two weeks after the incident in December 2022, the former cricketer can be seen with deep wounds on his face and part of his nose covered with bandages.

In a clip taken while lying in bed during his recovery, the father-of-three tells the camera he needs to stop ‘crying every two minutes’.

The cricket superstar admits he is ‘struggling’ to overcome a tough road to recovery and believes he ‘really shouldn’t be here’ after being airlifted to hospital.

Wife

Freddy has been married to his wife, Rachael Woolls, since March 2005. They were married at the posh Pavilion Road Hotel in Knightsbridge, London, but due to Freddie’s work commitments, their honeymoon could not take place.

Rachael, 43, is a former model and had her own events company until 2006. The couple met in 2002 at a cricket ground in Birmingham, where Rachel was promoting her business.
