The San Francisco 49ers completely dominated the Seattle Seahawks in the first half, and never really let the game go beyond that.
San Francisco took on Seattle and won 31-13 in a crucial NFC West divisional battle at the Thanksgiving NFL Nightcap on Thursday night.
Seattle’s offense looked lost for most of the game and its defense couldn’t do much to stop the 49ers outside of a big play in the third quarter.

Thanksgiving
The San Francisco 49ers traveled to Lumen Field in Week 12 for their first meeting of the season against the Seattle Seahawks. Neither team has played a Thanksgiving Day game since 2014, when the Seahawks ran away with a 19–3 win at Levi’s Stadium. On Thursday, San Francisco capped off Turkey Day in spectacular fashion by defeating the Seahawks 31-13. With the win, the 49ers improve to 3-0 in NFC West play and solidify themselves as the leaders in the division race.
“I feel great to get the win,” head coach Kyle Shanahan said. “Especially, then having three days off, it’s three different days where you don’t get it with a win.
“The way the defense played tonight was incredible – to keep them out of the end zone the whole game, six sacks, the way our corners played out. It was a really impressive game. I’m really excited.” watch it.”
Playoffs
The Seahawks-49ers rivalry has tilted toward Seattle for nearly a decade since 2012, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that a new era has arrived.
The 49ers went 3-0 against the Seahawks in 2022 and picked up where they left off on Thanksgiving with a 31-13 win to silence the Lumen Field crowd.
The first half was all San Francisco, with the ‘Niners’ scoring three touchdowns before the Seahawks scored one. Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey toyed with Seattle’s defense on the opening drive, giving the 49ers a 24–3 lead at halftime. The Seahawks’ defense tightened the screws in the second quarter and beyond, but it was too late – Geno Smith and the offense didn’t have enough in the tank to mount a comeback.
