Bishan Singh Bedi (25 September 1946 – 23 October 2023) was an Indian cricketer who primarily played slow left arm orthodox bowler. He played Test cricket for India from 1966 to 1979 and became part of the famous Indian spin quartet. He played a total of 67 Tests and took 266 wickets. He also captained the national team in 22 test matches. Bedi used to wear colorful patka and was always known for his outspoken and frank views on cricketing matters. He received the Padma Shri award in 1970 and the C.K. Naidu was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
