There were about 30,000 Miami Dolphins fans left in the stands late Sunday evening, but chants of “Three more points!” At that time it seemed as if the whole house was full. The chanting started.
So yes, everyone left in the building knew the score when Devon Achane ran 67 yards into the end zone midway through the fourth quarter to give the Dolphins a surprising 70-20 lead over the Denver Broncos.
That touchdown left the Dolphins just two points shy of the NFL record for points by a team in a regular season game, set by the Washington franchise, now known as the Commanders, against the Giants on November 27, 1966.

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel’s unique and animated personality is renowned among his team. His aggressive wit and self-proclaimed ‘randomness’ together create a memorable work environment. It was on full display in the War Room via King of Finland on the second day of the NFL Draft.
After his instinctive and indifferent reaction to the Fins selecting cornerback Cam Smith in the second round, the second-year head coach expressed teenage-like trepidation over their third-round selection of running back Devon Achane. The huge difference in enthusiasm has led many to believe that the offensive guru isn’t as excited about the other side of the ball as he is when acquiring a new weapon.
Or it could just be the unique personality mentioned above at work. He was probably well aware of how his carelessness was viewed in the second round and may have been inspired to troll him on Twitter during the third round. If you’re going to be a meme, you might as well go all in and have some fun with it. Dolphins fans should expect nothing less from McDaniels.

McDaniels served as an assistant coach for the Houston Texans, Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco. Francisco 49ers from 2017 to 2021, holding his first offensive coordinator position in 2021. McDaniels has appeared in two Super Bowls, first with the Falcons in 2017 and then with the 49ers in 2020.

But despite the big age difference, Mike McDaniels and Bill Belichick are alike in some ways. That is, they are crooked where others are crooked.
Both are not afraid to take bold decisions that, if they fail, put them under scrutiny. And sure, they do that sometimes. Belichick spent the offseason digging out of the hole dug by his unorthodox choice in offensive coordinator (Matt Patricia) in 2022.

This is a great franchise. I have played with him before, but not as a head coach. The strange thing in this journey is that once you get down to business, the teams don’t feel the same as before. So I guess it’s like you don’t treat bosses the same.
