Ishbia, one of Michigan’s wealthiest residents, is president and CEO of Pontiac-based United Wholesale Mortgage Corp. which his father Jeff founded in 1986. The younger Ishbia will take the company public in 2021 in a $16 billion reverse merger, the largest SPAC ever. Deal in history at that point.
