Chase Claypool (born 7 July 1998) is a Canadian professional American football wide receiver for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Notre Dame and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Bears number
Luckily for Claypool, his numbers are barely changing. He will now wear No. 10 for the Bears after reaching No. 11 for the Steelers since his NFL debut in 2020.
It is fitting that Claypool and Mooney are only one point apart, as they will work side by side as receivers in Chicago’s modified offense. While Mooney has already established himself as Justin Fields’ top pass-catcher, Claypool projects to be WR2 on his new team, as he was in Pittsburgh behind Dionte Johnson.
Claypool will try to help the Bears defeat the Miami Dolphins – who were also busy on business deadline – at Soldier Field on Sunday. Chicago is currently listed as a 5-point home underdog on FanDuel Sportsbook’s NFL Odds.
College
Claypool played 12 games at Notre Dame in 2016 as a true freshman. He finished the season with five receptions for 81 yards and led the team in special teams with 11. As a sophomore in 2017, he started eight of 12 games, recording 29 receptions for 402 yards and two touchdowns. As a junior in 2018, Claypool started 12 of 13 games, finishing second on the team with 50 receptions for 639 yards and four touchdowns. Claypool took over as Notre Dame’s number one receiver in his senior year in 2019, a season in which he caught 66 passes for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns.
