Royal Randwick Racecourse is a racecourse for horse racing located in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales. Randwick Racecourse is Crown Land leased to the Australian Turf Club and is known as the headquarters of many racegoers in Sydney. The racecourse is located in the suburb of Randwick, approximately six kilometers from the Sydney Central Business District. The perimeter of the proper course is 2224 m and the house straight is 410 m.

Saturday fields
The Silver Eagle (1300 m) – the only Group 1 race at Randwick on Saturday – and the Angst Stakes (1600 m) will be run next Saturday at Randwick as additional races on the Everest card.
There is no rain forecast for that meeting at the moment.
The Group 3 Glooming Stakes (1600m) will take place on Wednesday at Warwick Farms.
Postponed
The Australian Turf Club, in consultation with Racing NSW Stewards and Racing NSW CEO, Peter V’Landis, has postponed Championship Day 1 at the Royal Randwick to today, Monday 6 April.
Incessant rain overnight and this morning – with no break in the weather forecast during today – meant that jockey safety and visibility on the track were of particular concern to the Racing NSW stewards.
All general admission and hospitality tickets – with the exception of Little Sydney – will be valid for Monday’s meeting, but all other ticketholders will have the option of receiving a refund.
Little Sydney tickets sold on 4 April will be fully refunded and Little Sydney will be closed on Mondays.
Racing NSW Chief Steward Ray Murrihy said: “We cannot be sure because of the visibility for jockeys in the rain with heavy rain from 6am onwards and the effect the rain will have on the track,” Mr Murrihy said.
