The Constellation Cup is an international netball competition contested by Australia and New Zealand. The competition consists of a series of test matches. Both teams have competed for the trophy since 2010. Australia won the inaugural series and became the dominant team of the competition. Between 2013 and 2019, Australia won the series on seven consecutive occasions. New Zealand won the trophy for the first time in 2012 and for the second time in 2021.

The Constellation Cup was initiated by Netball Australia and Netball New Zealand with the support of the offices of the Governor-General of Australia and the Governor-General of New Zealand. The concept was inspired by the Bledisloe Cup, a similar competition of the national rugby union teams of Australia and New Zealand. Sir Anand Satyananda, Governor-General of New Zealand said:
About 80 years ago, one of my predecessors as Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, gifted the cup that bears his name and which has become a symbol of the rivalry between Australia and New Zealand on the rugby field. The Constellation Cup will provide equally enduring attention to netballers from both sides of the Tasman and recognize wider participation in the sport.
On 29 August 2010, the Governor-General, Sir Anand Satyanand and Quentin Bryce AC, both took part in the inaugural first Test of the 2010 Constellation Cup series, played at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. On 5 September 2010, Anand Satyanand also presented the Constellation Cup to the first winning captain, Australia’s Sharelle McMahon.

The Diamonds and Silver Ferns will face each other in a four-match Constellation Cup series this month.
Australia may have been dominating since the introduction of the cup in 2010, but New Zealand are the defending champions.

How to watch Nakshatra Cup 2022
In Australia, all four Constellation Cup matches will be shown live on Kayo Freebies and Fox Sports.
Despite playing away from home, Australia are considered the favorites in the first match against New Zealand.
TAB has priced diamonds at $1.55, while silver ferns are priced at $2.40.

Who has won the most Nakshatra Cups?
Since the inaugural Constellation Cup in 2010, Australia has dominated the Trans-Tasman Series.
Following on a seven-year winning streak between 2013–2019, Green and Gold have won 9 out of the eleven editions of the Cup.
Despite this formidable record, New Zealand are the defending champions after achieving a 3-1 series result in 2021.
2022 venues
The Trans-Tasman rivals will then meet twice in Australia, first in Melbourne on 19 October and again in the Gold Coast on 23 October to end the series.
The Diamonds will then play three Tests over eight days against England, starting in Newcastle on 26 October, the next in Sydney on 30 October and Brisbane on 3 November, before concluding the series.
Australia’s men’s team will also play the Diamonds twice, first against New Zealand in Melbourne on 19 October and later against England in Sydney on 30 October. The third match against New Zealand in Auckland is also scheduled on 12 October.
Gold coast
The four-match series will consist of two matches in New Zealand and two matches on Australian soil – in Melbourne and the Gold Coast. Competition between the sport’s biggest rivals promises to deliver some of the most thrilling and entertaining netball fans have ever seen.
The fourth and final match of the 2022 Constellation Cup Series will take place at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Center in Broadbeach!
