Sucker punch

The shocking video shows Drummond Green violently attacking Jordan Poole, viciously punching him to the ground in the middle of a team practice … Video obtained by TMZ Sports.

Green and Poole clearly have beef… you see them trash-talking each other, and then it gets physical. Green walks up to the pool and gets in his face. Poole pushes Green away to his chest with 2 hands. Green, who is 6’6″ and 230 pounds, responds with a vicious right cross in the face…so ferocious, it smacks Poole to the ground and it may have knocked him out of the cold .

Green then stands over the pool as teammates and coaches rush to clear him away. Looks like Poole was fine, as he continued to practice his shots on the court.

Assault

Draymond Greene violently punches Jordan Poole during Golden State Warriors practice, leading many fans to demand justice for the young guard. These demands intensified after a video of the incident was leaked online.

For those who expect police to act and investigate what might be construed as assault, however, the San Francisco Police Department has already made its stance clear. In an update to TMZ, which also revealed the leaked video, the department said it is not investigating the fight that took place during the Warriors exercise and has no involvement in the matter.

Seeing this, the warriors are handling the issue internally, which is certainly the right thing to do after all the unnecessary attention they have received. Also, apart from the fact that they have to deal with the outcome of the fight, they also have another issue to watch out for: the leaking of videos of the melee.

Drummond Green’s struggle with his shot has turned dangerous – he’s hit just 35.9 percent off the field in December.

Maybe something is going on with his already quirky mechanics, which fans have turned into a meme of sorts: a long-running observation that the Golden State Warriors shoot forward like he’s wearing a backpack. Has happened.
