Trubisky saw some early success with the Bears, leading the team to the NFC North Division title in their second season while being selected for the Pro Bowl. He left the team in 2021 via free agency, and signed with the Buffalo Bills as Josh Allen’s backup. Trubisky joined the Steelers in 2022 as a free agent.

Trubisky won the opening job this off-season, leaving many wondering how much time he had until rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett took over. The change will take place four weeks into the season after the Steelers failed to move the offense ball efficiently in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Jets.
Trubisky completed seven in the first half with 14 passes for 84 yards and two interceptions. The Trubisky-led offense had struggled to gain any momentum in the four weeks it had lost in the last two games.
It wasn’t all bad for Trubisky, who played fault-free football before today’s game. Trubisky had 569 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the first three matchups. Unfortunately, the slow-motion offense wasn’t enough, and now he’s waiting his turn again.
