He attended LSU and was selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
He was then named to the Pro Bowl after setting an NFL rookie record for receiving yards with 1,400 (a record that was broken in 2021 by his former LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase).
In each of his first two seasons, Jefferson was a Pro Bowler and a second-team All-Pro.

Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings captivated the NFL in his first two seasons, setting the NFL record for most receiving yards in a player’s first two seasons.
Kirk Cousins, who was extended by the Vikings for another year on Sunday, threw him the ball 97% of the time.
Unfortunately, Minnesota did not make the playoffs during Jefferson’s first two seasons, despite his outstanding individual performance.
The Vikings defence died unceremoniously the moment Jefferson joined the team, in an unexpected turn of events.
Under head coach Mike Zimmer, Minnesota ranked second in the NFL in points allowed from 2014 to 2019.
In 2020-2021, the team was ranked 27th in the league, or sixth-worst.
Fantasy
Justin Jefferson is a truly exceptional player.
He led the Vikings with a 28% target share and 46% of the team’s air yards last season.
Jefferson was the team’s first read on 35% of its passing plays and handled 41% of its end zone targets.
Is this a fantastic matchup?
No.
Are you still getting started with Jefferson?
Yes, absolutely.
Last year, Jefferson ranked sixth in yards per route run and tenth in route win rate.
Jaire Alexander is unlikely to shadow Jefferson, in part because the other Green Bay corners are quite talented.
Alexander was injured for much of last season, so take his 60% catch rate and 93.5 passer rating with a grain of salt.

Brothers
Justin Jefferson stood on the field in Atlanta two weeks ago, clutching an oversized trophy in both hands, talking about getting one step closer to a national championship.
LSU’s star receiver had just finished catching a career-high four touchdown passes in the Tigers’ 63-28 victory over Oklahoma in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, and he was clearly enjoying every moment.
A reporter then reminded him of his upcoming trip to New Orleans on January 13th.
It was more of a statement than a question.
Jefferson was aware.
He shook his head and stated that it was insane.
“I have goosebumps,” he admitted, looking down at his arms.
Justin Jefferson had a career-high four touchdown receptions in the game.
