Injury report
Injuries are unpleasant, but they are unavoidable in professional sports.
They are, of course, a part of fantasy sports and betting.
In both cases, they can mean the difference between weekly wins and losses.
The 2022 season is still in its early stages, but that doesn’t mean players aren’t already injured.
Some players are recovering from injuries sustained during the 2021 season, while others are working their way back from dings sustained during the offseason.
Several key players have been listed as injured this week.
We’re here to help you keep track of everything important ahead of Week 1 of fantasy football.
Leaders
It’s no surprise that Diontae Johnson led the NFL in dropped passes this season, as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ speedster fumbled several routine plays in high-profile games.
Some of the other dropped pass leaders, such as Alvin Kamara and Tyreek Hill, may come as a bigger surprise.
Let’s look at the league leaders in dropped passes in the NFL.
We’ll find out how they affected the 2020 season and playoffs, as well as what’s in store for players like Diontae Johnson in 2021.
Diontae Johnson leads Sports Info Solutions in dropped passes in 2020.
Dropped passes are not a recognised statistic.
As a result, different statistics services provide different totals.
Let’s start with the Sports Info Solutions leaderboard.
Picks against the spread
If Thursday night’s game is any indication of how Week 1 will play out, home dogs are in big trouble.
Buffalo annihilated the Rams in front of the entire world, flexing some road chalk muscles to begin the 2022 NFL season.
I’m expecting a little more chaos than Thursday suggested, especially since there’s so much unknown with so many different teams hitting the road as favourites.
Having said that, I’m picking a Super Bowl matchup between two road favourites from Week 1.
My pick this year is the Ravens over the Eagles, the first ever bird matchup* in a Super Bowl (*according to John Breech, who almost certainly didn’t research it, so don’t get too excited).
