Jake Paul’s upcoming bout with Hasim Rahman Jr. has been canceled.
The fight, which was set to take place next week at Madison Square Garden, was canceled on Saturday night due to an issue with Rahman’s weight.
Jake Paul is once again without an opponent. The social media star’s latest PPV event was set to take place at Madison Square Garden on Aug. 6 against Hasim Rahman Jr. But that bout, along with the rest of the card, which was set to take place on Showtime PPV, has been canceled because of weight issues around Rahman Jr.
Tommy Fury:
Tommy Fury has insisted that the reason his fight with Jake Paul fell through was due to visa problems. Fury was due to fight on August 6 with the American YouTuber and professional fighter.
The bout was rearranged from a December 2021 date, when the Briton dropped out as a result of a chest infection and broken rib.
Paul was initially supposed to face off against Tommy Fury instead, though that was called off earlier this month after Paul claimed that Fury “literally went into hiding.”

For the second time, Tommy Fury will not be competing in a scheduled boxing match with Jake Paul.
Paul, the YouTube star-turned-prizefighter, wrote Wednesday on Twitter that he sent Fury a termination notice, acknowledging that he is officially out of their planned Aug. 6 fight at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Fury, who is the half-brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, was denied entry into the United States by Homeland Security reportedly because of his ties to alleged mob boss Daniel Kinahan.
