Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray suffered a leg injury late in the thrilling “Thursday Night Football” game between the Cardinals and the Packers, which the Packers won 24-21.

Murray was tackled from behind for a run at the end of the fourth quarter and his knee hit the turf as he came down. His right knee hit the ground first and felt hardest. Murray was able to get up and stay in the game, but after two plays he threw an interception in the end zone which effectively ended the game.

With the status of Kyler Murray’s Week 11 still up in the air, it’s increasingly possible that he sits on Sunday.

According to a source familiar with the situation, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport said the Arizona Cardinals quarterback will likely end the team’s rest ahead of the week 12 bye.

Rapoport noted that Murray, who hasn’t played in the last two games, wants to follow suit against the Seattle Seahawks and there is a chance that could still happen, with a better chance Colt McCoy starts in center again.

Both Murray and McCoy (pectoral) are officially listed as suspects. Coach Cliff Kingsbury said on Friday that Murray would decide the timing of the game for the third week in a row.

More has been revealed about the relationship between the Arizona Cardinals and quarterback Kyler Murray. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen described the relationship as having a “strange vibe” and “stiffness” because of how things ended with the team crashing out of the first-round playoffs.

The Cardinals were defeated by the Los Angeles Rams 34-11. Murray could not play the last minute.

While many analysts felt during the game that the Cardinals should have withdrawn their young quarterback from the game when things got out of hand to avoid any injury, he did not come out until 1: 05 was not left.

According to Mike Garafolo, speaking during NFL Network’s Super Bowl pregame coverage, Murray pulled himself from the game, refusing to take the final snap.
