Mother cancer:

Nick Kyrgios is trying to win his first ever Grand Slam title but his mother has revealed she won’t be watching it because it makes her too anxious.

The Australian tennis star faces world No. 1 Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon on Sunday after a stunning and unlikely run that saw him playing for the first singles honour of his colourful career.

Mum Illness:

Nick Kyrgios’ biggest fan won’t be watching the match of his life after the Australian opted against trying to lure his ailing mother to London for Sunday’s Wimbledon final.

Kyrgios’ walkover through to the title match – as a result of Rafael Nadal’s injury-enforced withdrawal from the pair’s scheduled semi-final – offered a window of opportunity for the 27-year-old’s mum to make a last-minute dash to the UK.

Mother Religion:

It is rumoured Nick’s mother who is a Malay is a Muslim.

But Team Kyrgios on Friday confirmed doting Norlaila would remain at home in Canberra while awaiting a kidney transplant.

Kyrgios was born on 27 April 1995 in Canberra, Australia, to a father of Greek origin, George, and a Malay mother, Norlaila (“Nill”).

Sister Age:

It is protected to say that Halimah Krygios’ age is around 32 years, plus or minus. She was born in Australia and possessed an Australian ethnicity.

It was Djokovic’s first Grand Slam title this season. He wasn’t allowed to play the Australian Open due to his decision to forgo the coronavirus vaccination. He lost to Nadal in the French Open quarterfinals.

Kyrgios, the brash challenger, filled the match with his usual hysterics. He took the first set from Djokovic but didn’t appear he could get out of his own way. He blew multiple 40-0 leads and started to take out his frustrations on his coaches, fans and the umpire.
