Westbrook trade:
At this point, it seems fairly inevitable that eventually, the Brooklyn Nets will trade Kyrie Irving to Los Angeles to rejoin LeBron James.
When that trade happens and what it ultimately looks like is still anyone’s guess, but given that every attempt to link other teams to interest in Irving or otherwise generate leverage almost immediately gets shot down by said teams, it would appear that the Lakers are essentially playing a game of musical chairs against themselves to end up as mercurial point guard’s next stop when this saga’s music ends.
Russell Westbrook Trade:
It’s pretty amazing when you think about it – when Curry came out of Duke, he was undrafted and now he’s one of the premier shooters in the NBA.
Of course it’s a family tradition – father Dell and brother Stephen share the gift – but unlike them, Seth had to work his way up from scratch.
To be sure, he’s the second part of any deal here – former Blue Devil Irving, despite his self-inflicted problems, is still a brilliant point guard and if he has a great season, then he’s back on track.
House:
While it was made public recently that LeBron James put his $17 million waterfront estate on the market, it looks like Kyrie Irving has made a real estate move of his own as he recently purchased a house in Westlake, Ohio from former Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson and his estranged wife, Keyshia Cole.
US sportswear giant Nike is unlikely to extend its signature shoe deal with National Basketball Association (NBA) ace Kyrie Irving beyond the 2022/23 season, according to ESPN.
The Brooklyn Nets point guard was reported by Forbes in 2019 to earn in the region of US$11 million per year from his Nike partnership.
